TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. It was established to spread ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. TED is owned by a non-profit, non-partisan foundation. Ted’s agenda is to make great ideas accessible and spark conversation. Visit www.ted.com to explore more about this unique initiative.
TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." It supports independent organizers who want to create a TED-like event in their own community. TEDx events - a combination of live presenters and TED Talks videos sparks deep conversation and connections at the local level.
TEDx believes in building a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the world's most inspired thinkers — and a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other, both online and TEDx events around the world.
XIMB believes passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. XUB and XIMB always promote lateral thinking, innovation and development. Organizing TEDx bears ample testimony to this spirit of XIMB. TEDxXIMB shares it vision with TED and TEDx and aims to uphold the same passion and commitment to ideas in and around the academics, business and social circles in Odisha. The first version of TEDxXIMB was held in 2013 and it witnessed an amalgamation of some of the finest ideas giving a new outlook to today’s society. In line with the same concept of bringing out ideas shaping the world and the nation, the next version was held in 2015 and the latest one in 2016. This year again, XIMB, XUB shall host the fourth version of TEDxXIMB. The event like its previous versions promises to be a medium to share the ideas that are expected to reflect and let the society, the nation and the world evolve into a better place. Be there to witness TEDxXIMB 2017 on the 15th of January 2017. Let's script the change together.
